As a result, she’s scared to get too intimate with Saeko, even though it’s her first time. She has a secret that she wants to keep from Saeko, but is hesitant to tell her.
Saeko’s ravenous libido
Saeko is a young woman with a ravenous libido, who lives with her grandmother near a red bridge. She is a kleptomaniac and suffers from a condition called inability to hold water. Despite the physical symptoms of her ravenous libido, Saeko remains determined to satiate her desires. However, her sexuality sabotages her relationship with Yosuke.
In How Do We Relationship?, Saeko struggles with lesbophobia and downplays her relationship with her bandmate, Miwa. She faced lesbophobia during her early years of middle school, forcing herself to have sex with a boy. Saeko’s internalized lesbophobia still manifests itself in self-deprecation. While Miwa is accepting of her relationship with Saeko, they still have a long way to go. The movie contains themes of transphobia and transmisogyny, and has content warnings.
